This 1989 SEA RAY 440 Aft Cabin cruiser is one of the premier yachts I've ever owned in both style and quality, It is a custom
boat made for a friend at Merritt Island, where the larger cruisers are cast, It cost over $300,000 new in 1989, and was surveyed in 2008 for $125,000, It boasts a solid fiberglass hull, not cored, like many newer boats.
Access to the boat is by a 6-step Marquip boarding safety stairway into the aft deck area, which is carpeted and is
accompanied by Rattan couch and chairs with new 9inch Sunbrella cushions, The Aft deck and flybridge are surrounded by Grade70 Isenglass and Sunbrella canvas enclosure and fiberglass ceiling.
Access forward to the bow is thru matching clear 3/4 inch thick Lexan doors, On the bow you'll see 3inch thick vinyl cushions for sunbathing, solid 1 inch welded stainless railings and a power winch and 22# Danforth anchor, Three steps up to the flybridge shows 3 rotating captains chairs, with additional seating behind the helm and a serving
table for guests.
The helm console has dual controls for the twin Mercruiser 7.4L, 340 hp V-8 engines and Velvetdrive transmissions, Included is
full instrmentation, including 24mile Furuno radar, Micrologic GPS, Robertson autopilot, Navigator log and depthfinder,
Uplevel SEA RAYS also have a dash mounted diagnostic panel that monitors engines, trans, genset and the 5 bilge pumps,
Included for safety is a Marine VHF,6 inch remote controlled spotlight and hailer/intercom system with electronic fog horns,
All engines and generator are closed water cooled and capable of off shore duty.
Main cabin is entered by a sliding hatchway of tinted Acrylic glass, down a winding stairway to the main salon, It has a
custom made Flexsteel, double recliner couch covered with Ultraleather(lifetime warrantee), The entertainment center has
a 450watt receiver, DVD player and VHS recorder with speakers both in cabin, aft bedroom and on the aft deck,
Included are a 27inch flat screen TV in salon and 15inch HD monitor TV in aft-cabin, Boat is wired for cable or satellite,
A separate ice maker is mounted in the salon, There is a bar with storage for wine, liquor and books,
The entire interior of this vessel has handcrafted American cherry and ambrosia hardwood, only found in the million dollar
yachts built today.
Stepping down to the galley you'll see a dinette, that will accompany 5 people, cushioned with ultraleather that converts
to a bed for additional sleeping room, Great for the grandkids, The galley has a full size Frigidaire refrig and freezer, a 3 burner Princess electric stove and microwave, Countertops are one piece molded with an extra deep sink, There's a pantry for drygoods, cabinet for china and additional storage under the dinette cushions for other utensils, pots and larger pans, Built-in coffeemaker, canopener and blender are included as well as a toaster oven for baking and a regular toaster.
The forward cabin has a huge v-berth bed, that uses King size sheets(included) and custom comforter, Forward cabin
can be completely closed off with vented doors and has a separate toilet and shower, as well as a mirrored vanity,
There are 2 large storage cabinets for storage port and starboard and additional cabinets and drawers under the bed,
The aft cabin is luxurious, with a walk around queen bed, full 3mirror vanity, tons of cedar lined cabinets and a walk-in
closet for hanging clothes, Aft stateroom has a separate bathtub/ shower, toilet and sink, all of molded polished fiberglass.
Both toilets are controlled by a Vacuflush system, connected to a 60 gallon holding tank in the bilge which is emptied
thru a dockside outlet (pumpout) or optional macerator discharge ( now illegal in some states), Below the main salon is a
large engine room, that accompanies the engines, 8KW Generac 110VAC generator, exhaust systems and ultraquiet mufflers, batteries and breaker systems, protected by a multistage bilge pump system and automatic fire suppression system, Engines and gen have automatic oil changers (NICE)!
Vessel has been Captain maintained and has all the service records and equipment replacement records, Recent
upgrades includes new batteries, a 3000watt power 120VAC inverter, a complete bottom job with barrier coat and
yearly polish job by our local fiberglass expert, Latest upgrades include New Allure bamboo flooring, replacing the
carpeting in the salon, galley and stairways, We replaced Strataglass windows and zippers on the flybridge and
