Boat is located in Jacksonville, Florida.
This is a project boat in that the interior and exterior needs a lot of TLC.
There are a lot of ways to deal with it, but it depends on your expertise and desire in finish.
The interior ceilings in the salon and aft cabin need to be replaced.
This is not difficult as the panels are held in place by teak strips, so it is a matter of taking the old panel and using it as a pattern and remounting. (There is a small table saw that goes with the boat.) Water from the mast and traveler damaged the walls.
The leaks have been taken care of , but the ceiling and walls have not.
The gaskets need to be replaced in the hatches, and the gasket material is there.
The floor needs to be refinished, but the good news is that the sole is made of a very thick layer, about 3/8" of teak and holly on plywood.
The aft head had the faucets removed and so the plumbing side of that needs to be replaced.
There is a generator that may or may not, probably not, work.
It is a Lister generator.
It takes up the whole cabinet under the companionway.
A newer, smaller, quieter one would be better.
There is a blackwater system installed.
I do not know if the macerator or any of that system is functional.
It was when I sold the boat.
There is also a desalinator, but I do not know its condition.
Almost all the electronics need to be replaced.
The GPS/chart worked fine and is not very old.
There is a VHF radio in the cockpit that is fairly new.
The hull had a blister job done and then repainted with anti-fouling paint.
The top sides were painted changing the hull color from blue to a maize color.
The deck and cabin top need to be painted.
The brightwork was varnished in May 2013 with a touch up in the end of July 2013 when I left it on the hard.
Work needs to be done on the life lines.
The rigging is over-sized and was installed in 2000.
A new Selden mast was put in at that time.
The anchor locker has been completely taken out and needs to be re-installed.
That is not such a big deal according to the professionals who have looked at doing the work.
It will actually be better and stronger than what was there.
The engine is a Pathfinder 50hp that replaced the original Perkins 4-108.
It was replaced after I had sold it.
It does not have many hours on it.
I don't have that information at hand right now.
It performed fine between Ft.
Lauderdale and Jacksonville.
The sails that I used were already in place on the boat.
The main was too small, but we were able to make pretty good time sailing up from Ft.
The jib is just old.
There are other sails, but I did not take them out and look at them.
I don't have many pictures of her current condition.
I took pictures a year ago in 2013 of the exterior, but cannot find the pictures of the interior.
The attached exterior shots are all that I have of her in her current condition.
The pictures of the interior are from 2000 to show how she should look.
The cover over the engine is no longer teak.
It is now white with teak accents.
The situation, in short, is that I sold the boat and had to repossess it.
I do not want to do the work.
I want to sell it and put the price at a figure that is fair for those who want a big boat and are willing to do the work or for those who want to repair it and sell it.
She is a great blue water boat and live aboard.
When conditions are really bad, she was strong and performed very well.
Her hull, being from the era of overbuilding, is very thick and strong.
The rudder is skeg hung and protects it extremely well.
The boat is being sold as is where is.
There are many materials (a/c, fiberglass matting etc. for anchor locker, etc.) and tools (table saw and more).
I cannot guarantee any of the systems.
I can say that I sailed her with crew from Ft.
Lauderdale to the Jacksonville area which required the use of the motor to navigate both rivers and a little bit at sea when we lost the wind for a while.
In sailing she performed very well considering the size of the sails.
We had fairly good wind for most of the trip and made it in 24 hours from the pass at Ft Lauderdale to the entrance at Jacksonville.
I am the second owner of the boat.
The original owner sailed it from Taiwan to Texas and it has lived in the Caribbean and east coast most all its life
